100 Days of Gratitude: Day 9

Melbourne Pretty City

Today is a beautiful day – one of those rare late autumn days after a few days of rain when its absolutely still -no wind at all. Its nose freezingly cold with every breath, sharp and fresh, clearing your head. It’s bright and sunny – there is not a cloud in the sky, like it’s been freshly washed. There is an ethereal fragile new quality to the light that makes colours pop and softens shadows or harsh lines.

I wish I could take the day off and just take photos – it’s perfect photography weather!

It’s a perfect ‘sit in a cafe, watching the world go by’ day

It’s perfect for just stopping for a moment, taking a really deep breath, looking around and appreciating the sun glinting off windows, seeing people rushing about their business wondering what they’re up to or where they’re going, seeing the myriad colours of the tree leaves, scuffing through a pile of dead leaves like a kid

I love days like this.
